So what do you guys think about the optional warranties offered by BMW? Did you go for it - would you recommend them?

I'm not in any way rushed here, just considering and wanting to know who's purchased them.

One warranty is for wear and tear items like brakes (which kind of seems worth it to me for $795), the other I believe is tire and rim protection, and the last one is for any minor scratches on the vehicle or windshields that need replacement etc when returning the vehicle which I believe is $900 or so and covers damages up to $7500.

What do you guys think - I've never leased so I'm not sure how picky they are about paint swirls etc when you return the car and whether the coverage is necessary here....?

There are a lot of other threads on this topic, but for what it's worth, I got the wheel & tire insurance, but not the rest. I've got the optional 19's and figure that one mistake or pothole and the insurance will more than pay for itself. I like those odds...
