I have a leak HELP!!!

Hey guys,

Ive noticed 2 days now that my car is leaking some sort of oil. I have a 2008 335xi coupe that I bought maybe 4 mos ago 12/2007 with around 4500 miles. Anyways, I noticed looking under the car, 2 small drips which had accumulated of a clear/yellow golden oil. It is right in front of the front axle inside a silver rectangular pan w/ 4 holes in the corners.

I am scheduled to have my coilovers installed tomorrow, but am paranoid the dealer will try to blame my coilovers for the leak. Is this possible?? I was in the garage about to install my OEM SSK and shifter, GP thunder fogs, fog light kit when I noticed it...

Here are the pics of the leak...

Hey, if you can delay your mod and take your car to the dealer first to find out what is goinh on with this leak. That way, the dealer will not have any excuse to gve you grief about this or that (take the safe route). Then when it is fixed (the leak) you can do your ssk mod and light and springs.

I would be more concern in getting the leak resolved then modding right now anyway.

GL.

see at first i thought that was from the trans but from the pics it looks as though you may have just got oil on the lower cover when changing it..or the dealer did
