Hey guys, so after reading this forum more and more often to gather as much info as i can about my car (owned it for about 4 months now), i decided to show my car, say thanks for all the info and just interact a bit with the community.
Im from central europe so some things are a bit different than for majority of you. Still this forum is totally awesome for research of about anything regarding these diesel beasts. Mine is 2006 e92 335d chiptuned to 330hp/710NM. As far as i know DPF is still in place(but im still not sure yet). Same with EGR. Previous owner did put some cool things in from M packet version so i really love how the car looks. Anyway im now about to have thermostats replaced, thanks to this forum i realized my coolant temps are staying too low. Also my red boost hose is really dirty and oily so i think that needs some attention as well. Right now my car is in local bmw shop. Some lady bumped into me while parking so they replaced front bumper and while doing that they managed to somehow mess the control unit which deals with controling the windows, navigation etc. Dont ask me how ![]() I will post update as soon as my love is healthy again. Why is it showing 2 different wheels? I really like the wheels in the first pic. I'm about to replace the baloney skins on my stockers and need to find something like that.
TIA... (Edit) Nevermind, I just realized it's summer vs. winter treads - but I'd still like to know about the summer wheels! ![]() Last edited by Nadir Point; 10-30-2016 at 10:32 AM.. |

But to be honest im gonna get rid of the 19s. They are on Bridgestone RFTs and the ride is terrible. Looks good tho i have to agree. Im gonna switch to 18s for summer and 17s for winter. These are my new 18s that i bought and had painted for gunmetal color: The 17s are on the way and ill have them painted for mate black, will post pics later. I do love the looks of 230 styling as well but the low profiles are just not good for the car. If you saw the roads that i drive on here in Czech Republic you would understand ![]() |

But the coupe.. Love it. Also it might not look like it but the back seats provide decent enough space and the trunk does as well. I can fit in 4 wheels no problem if i lower the back seats. |

So my bmw is back from the shop luckily funcional just as was before so all is well.
However my thermostats are still bad and also im doing more research on the red boost pipe.. Here is my red boost pipe: ![]() I guess i should be replacing it then huh.... ![]() Also, on the other side of the intercooler theres is a "silver" pipe which is also for me covered in oil in similar fashion.. with some fresh oil being seen on the bottom seal.. Anyone knows what this pipe is? Do you recommend replacing as well? Picture but a low quality sry couldnt focus it very well.. In the middle there you see what looks to be originaly silver pipe but is covered in dirt and oil.. ![]() |

Mine looked like that since day 1, now holding something north of 30psi boost. I view it as a "don't fix it if it ain't broke" type thing. BMW upgraded it in the 2011 model year, but I don't know the details. That could explain my success with it so far.

However before my stats are replaced its hard to analyze many values since my car doesnt run in correct temps most of the time for the time being. |
