B+ junction box cable issue electrical shutdown

Had another complete electrical shutdown and wiggled the red B+ cable on the back of the fuse box and car came back to life.
I know there's been a recall in other areas around the world but not the UK.

Anyone have recommendations/suggestions on getting the B+ junction box cable replaced?

Unfortunately the recall was not done in the UK.

I anyway took apart the back of the fusebox and managed to remove the b+ cable connector and clean it with electrical contact cleaner. A little bit of plastic of the connector has actually melted and I chipped that away. Made sure the metal prongs are close together on the connector and put it back in. Has been ok for now and no cut outs.

I did not want to go back under the back of my fuse box, so I soldered that B*tch up ones and for all. But to each his own. I was prob upset because I had disconnected my battery in the trunk to perform the task and some moron passed and think they were doing me some good by closing the trunk for me . That was another story.. Sorry for jacking ur thread, just wanted to share my experience on this.

No probs, it's good to share different experiences and solutions if someone in the future comes across this thread they can see different ways of resolving the problem.
