mistake during CAS Klasse_batterie coding.....

I tried to change the Code of the KLASSE_BATTERIE on my CAS with engine running..... (it could be a bad mistake), I changed the AH to 75ah (my mistake) ... and tried the finish the coding process. After go thur the normal process..... it show I have a error:


COAPI-1142: PSW fenlerharf 75ah


Now, when I try to use NCS to correct it...... after I press those F1-F3-E89-CAS-F6 <---- It said "COAPI-1142: PSW fenlerharf 75ah"

and then I won't show the "F4 Process ECU" on the bottom anymore


Anyone knows how to solve this and what damage I've done to my car?
Any advice is welcome and appreciate.

This is the wrong way.

Your car has a vehicle order (VO) which specifies battery data:

It's normally right at the end and will be:

E B046 BATT_46AH //46 Ah-Batterie
E B055 BATT_55AH //55 Ah-Batterie
E B070 BATT_70AH //70 Ah-Batterie
E B080 BATT_80AH //80 Ah-Batterie
E B090 BATT_90AH //90 Ah-Batterie
E A070 BATT_AGM_70AH //70 Ah-AGM Batterie
E A080 BATT_AGM_80AH //80 Ah-AGM Batterie
E A090 BATT_AGM_90AH //90 Ah-AGM Batterie

You should change your VO accordingly in CAS / FRM with FA_WRITE then recode CAS to default with expert mode.

As you can see there is no 75ah. Use 70ah

My intent was trying to correct the setting as I found out the battery I'm having is 75ah but the car is set for 70ah AGM

btw, do I still have to go thur the register battery process?

Tool32 can do it, Carly can do it but Rheingold is nice and easy.

Is it still pulling off the fsw_psw.man file in the work folder as stated above? Do i have to clear the .man file and code it in blank to reset to default?

No and No - if you load "manipulation" profile, NCSExpert will read FSW_PSW.MAN for the parameters to set. If you load "expert" or "factory coding" profile, NCSExpert will set parameters according to the VO and the MAN file is ignored.
Coding with "expert" or "factory coding" profile is often referred to as default coding. There may be other names for the profiles but the ones I've used above are common.

I have expert MAN and expertmodus profiles but essentially expert modus has fsw_psw manipulation off in the edit profile settings and is that the one i need to write using the VO?

One question i have about the original thread is did OP actually code anything to their car when they got the error? I cleared the 1142 error by clearing the .man file and when i read the trace file for the CAS again, the klasse batterie field is the same as it was before i tried to code/ manipulate it.

No idea

I cleared the 1142 error by clearing the .man file and when i read the trace file for the CAS again, the klasse batterie field is the same as it was before i tried to code/ manipulate it.
1142 only indicates something wrong with MAN file, often that it was left with irrelevant parameters from a previous session

From your description I cannot tell what you actually did besides clear the MAN file and re-read the CAS. If that's all you did, I'm not surprised the battery class is unchanged.

Did you successfully change the VO and write it to CAS/NFRM?
