Can someone help me reconnect my engine block hose? (Long Island)

So long story short I changed my oil filter housing gasket on my 2007 328xi N51 this past weekend the gasket is not leaking anymore however my front engine block coolant hose keeps leaking. I've been trying to reconnect the hose for two days now but I can't get the o ring to sit in place it keeps popping out the side and keeps leaking out the bottom. I can't have my car down for so many days because I have to get to work and get around and I really don't want to tow it to the dealer over something so basic...its driving me crazy. If there is someone on Long Island who has experience with this and wants to stop by and give me a hand please PM me I will throw you cash for your time. I'm in Suffolk County exit 66 off the LIE. Its the hose in the link below. Thanks.

New O-ring or old one? Have you tried using a little lube to get it in there easier?

Its the original o ring...doesn't seem warn its still soft however the lip of the hose seems to have deteriorated a bit which might be my issue. I was still hoping I could get it on there without having to replace the hose entirely. Didn't try any lube maybe I will try that tonight when I get home. Sucks that it gets dark so early now.

Thanks for your help. Part ordered. Attached are some pictures for reference in case this happens to anyone else. I didn't realize the end broke into the other side. Everything removed and waiting on the new part.
