E92 Coupe Offset Q & A for aftermarket rims/tires - Lets share information of setups!

Ok, even after hour long search, I still am not quite sure on this. It seems like everyone is running different offset and is quite confusing on what would be optimal offset to accomodate widest tires without getting any fender mod. So I thought that it would be nice to discuss and somehow come up with the result on this so everyone can take a look at this as reference point.

What I want to know is the maximum offset and widest tires for front and rear WITHOUT getting any fender modification and WITH fender modification (fender rolls or shaving, NO custom flares please) for each 18", 19", and 20". I understand those who want 18" would be more performance-oriented for race/track and 20" would be more of ALL FOR SHOW.

Just fill the blank below. Please do not post YOUR PERSONAL SETUP. I've seen people running 225 to 295 with offset varies from 25 to 45 for E92. Hope this works out for me and a lot of wonderboys...

These are actual setup members are currently using on their car WITH/WITHOUT Fender Modification. Hope this helps !

18 inch rims/tires without fender motification
Front - 18 x 8.5 , offset 30 ~ 35 , widest tire set up 245/40/18
Rear - 18 x 9.5 , offset 32 ~ 40 , widest tire set up 275/35/18

19 inch rims/tires without fender modification
Front - 19 x 8.5 , offset 30 ~ 35 , widest tire set up 245/35/19 Toyo T1R
Rear - 19 x 10.5 , offset 32 ~ 40 , widest tire set up 275/30/19 Toyo T1R
19 x 10, ET 37, 285-30-19 dunlop SP sport with fender roll and neg camber...

20 inch rims/tires without fender modification -
Front - 20 x 8.5 , offset 32 ~ 35 , widest tire set up 245/30/20
Rear - 20 x 10 , offset 35 ~ 38 , widest tire set up 285/25/20

18 inch rims/tires with fender motification
Front - 18 x ____ , offset ____ , widest tire set up ____/____/18
Rear - 18 x ____ , offset ____ , widest tire set up ____/____/18

19 inch rims/tires with fender modification - ironic's M3 conversion widebody 335i
Front - 19 x 8.5 , offset ?? , widest tire set up 255/30/19 Toyo T1R
Rear - 19 x 11 , offset ?? , widest tire set up 315/25/19 Toyo T1R
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=135870

20 inch rims/tires with fender modification -Just rolled fender but these setup are not really practical for street useage...
Front - 20 x 9 , offset 35 , widest tire set up 245/35/20
Rear - 20 x 11 , offset 42 , widest tire set up 305/25/20
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...light=e92+inch

Roundy sidewall tires - Dunlop SP Sport Maxx, Toyo T1R , Falken 452 series

* I'll update this as much as I can. If your setup runs wider tires or same setup without any rubbing issue, please let me know. This hopefully will be a useful guideline for those who wants to purchase aftermarket rims, rather than asking "Will this offset fit onto E92?"

** please add your tire brand and set up as somebody pointed out that there are some variations between brand of tires you use and thus sidewalls shape will differ by brand.

*** Although your rims are fall inbetween safe offset range mentioned up above, it doesn't mean that you can run the widest tire set up because most of widest tires used with very high offset for the rear. So if your offset is between 25~35, 275 is NOT recommended unless you roll or shave fenders... Those result up there are ONLY MAX NUMBERS for both rims or tires, most of the time they don't co-exist.
ex)) 19 x 10.5 ET25 will not be able to accomodate 275 in the rear. Either tires size, width of rims goes down or offset goes up.

I initially wanted to know with regular suspensions as most of E92 owners will have regular rather than ZSP. If there is noticeable difference between them and if you have experience, feel free to chime in.

There is NO sports package suspension. The e92 comes with one standard suspension. Hence there is no difference in ride height from a car with or without sports package.

The e92's sports package upgrade involves the seats, wheels...etc, not suspension.

Well, thanks for clearing that up. All stock suspension stories aside, this thread was designed to provide information to people who's looking for purchse or exchange rims/tires.

So feel free to chime in. I want specs from those guys running 245+ in front and/or 285+ in rear.

and a Sport package model. the height was definately different.

Anyways back ON TOPIC..

I am getting 19x8.5 and 19x9.5 tires:245/275
my alternative set is 19x8.5 and 19x10 tires: 245/285?

Question for vendor for my rear 19x10 should I get just get 275? or 285 would look better?

37-40 is a good offset for a coupe running 19x10's with a 265 tire

275's are great, but you will need to roll fenders with that size tire most likely, unless you get a ridiculously high offset

It also depends on the offset though, that's the main thing.

cmon now you're joking right?? Like he would annouce it here even if he were planning too..

"The LM Reps are currently $xxxx but in four weeks they'll be on sale for $xxxx." Yeahhhh, that would cut into his sales for that month

its all good needed a good laugh at work today.

i'm sure in the back of all our minds is the ever looming question, "what if i buy these wheels now and in a couple weeks they go on sale?"
if you make your decisions based on that logic you'll never buy wheels.
Just find a set you really like, try to find the best deal, pull the trigger and dont look back.
