Manual with big feet... advice?
Thanks for taking the time to chime in guys. I loved my e90 automatic so much that I bought myself a manual. Only issue is because of my large feet I'm having some issues with the top of my shoe getting caught between the clutch and dash when I release the pedal.
I'm 6'4 and have size 14.5 feet. I love a good manual but this is just ruining the experience. If there is any way to adjust the pedals or any advice on modifying the dash by the pedals I'm all ears. I attached some pics. These aren't my regular shoes but hopefully it gives context to my situation. Only way my foot doesn't get stuck is if I hot the clutch with my foot at an angle which isn't very pleasant. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you! |

How much more clearance do you think you need?
Maybe getting different floor mats (or no floor mat). Those rubbers are thicker than regular ones. Another(more expensive) solution will be to replace the clutch pedal with the ultimate clutch pedal https://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-1...2-f22-f30-f32/ |

The Ultimate Clutch Pedal doesn't change where its position relative to stock.

2 maybe 3 inches. I live in Canada so I'm stuck with the rubber mats sadly.
The front little bit of my shoe just keeps getting stuck between the metal rod that attaches to the pedal and the dashboard. |

There is a little hump right above the pedal that you could cut off with dremel. Between the pedal hinge and the dash you also have the duct for the HVAC. You could probably cut off some of it too. All that area is underneath so it will not show, but if you cut into the dash that will show. Also you can try installing a clutch stop which will prevent the pedal from being able to be pushed in all the way. Is about 1cm but every little less movement in your case would help.

Try stepping on the pedal less with the balls of your feet and more towards the toes. Change your shoes to something like Pumas; driftcat, futurecat, etc. Something that resembles the profile of a racing boot.

Clutch stop = problem solved.
Turns out my oem clutch stop disintegrated over time so I had even more travel than intended. I popped in the bms clutch stop and it drives like a new car. Thank you to all! |

This, your shoes look like clunkers. Switch to something a little tighter like the above and you should have more room. I love my Puma Driftcat and Futurecats

On a side note, I wear my Puma Driftcats 4/5 of my work days. I wear my Onitsuka Serranos on the weekends. |
