M4 style headlights to E91
Hello, I'm going to switch a new set of E90 LCI xenon (w/o AHL), retrofited by OSS (M4 style) for my PreLCI 2006 E91 with Xenon (w/o AHL).
I can see many threads in detail about Halogen to Xenon, not sure the whole conversion process whether same approach to my case.

Where'd my VTEC go?

1. You need FRM2 or higher, assuming it's wired to work exactly like the stock headlight. FRM1 cannot enable angel eyes for DRL, and will not fire xenons for flash to pass high beam.
2. FRM2 is more compatible. I've read on here FRM3 has some issues with older cars where you need to change pins. 3. Yes you can code those for any FRM version.

FRM changing is must!!! But no idea which one is best solution to me. Yes, I read on here FRM3 with 'short circuit' and also the re-wired is necessary for those threads about 'Halogen to Xenon'. I'm not sure whether my case bi-xenon to bi-xenon will happen too. I aslo read on here someone suggest, FRM 1 to FRM 3 is best not FRM 2..... I'm feeling headache.... is anyone with experience in here and help me out....thx |
