230's in the 1/4
I have a couple more weeks to change my options on my 335i. I was looking at adding the 19" 230 wheels because they are only a 1k options. But back to my question. I go to the 1/4 mile track once in a while(I know this car is not a drag car but I go just to have fun) to see how I do. And I was wondering will the 230s slow me down any. I know it will not run a faster or fast as 1/4 mile as if I had the 18s, but I wanted to know by how much do you guys think? Will it be a drastic difference or maybe by 1 0r 2 tenths.

It could cost you up to a 10th, but the thing that is going to be holding you back is launching your car. This car takes sooo much practice at getting good 60' that you probably wouldn't notice the difference in a 18 or 19 inch rim for a while.

Ok thanks for the reply. Loosing a 1 or 2 tenths is not a big deal to me. I just go to have fun anyway. I just didn't want it to be drastic, so I guess I will be getting the 230s'.

Also what are the widest tires I can put on the rear wheels without rubbing issues? I was thinking 275s, or should I stick with 265s and play it safe.

19" 230 seems to be quite light contruction. Also the stock 18" looks to have a lot of its mass at further of the center. All that would mean that they might not have that much difference.
