Seatbelt & airbag warning lights - e90 335i 2007
Hi all,
Ive had a niggling problem with my 2007 335i SE (n54) for quite sometime now. Its never bothered me enough to take it into a garage but now Im interested in having ago at sorting it myself. Its related to my front passenger seat. Whenever an adult is sat in it I get a seatbelt disconnected warning light and also the airbag red warning light appears (at the sametime). Ive had a child in it and it didnt appear so Im assuming its some sort of pressure sensor? I have the cloth electric/mem seats, not heated. Can anyone point me in the right direction of the faulty part so I can look to replace it? Thanks in advance Regards, Fozz |

Hi,
Turned out to be faulty occupancy matt in front passenger side. Bought a little bypass box and plugged this in. Drivers seat just gone also :-( Same fix I think |

No, it bypasses the occupancy matt so the car assumes someone is occupying the seat. When I dont have a passenger in I have to put a little clip in the seatbelt so the car thinks its on, other than that all fine. Airbag lights gone (so one would assume they are working)

They are about £25 on Ebay, easy plug and play behind underside of seat. Ive heard replacing the matts is an expensive job

Ahh, that makes sense. Hmm, my lights are back on then, I just assumed it was same fault, drivers side. Wonder if my box has failed? Its worked fine for a number of months.

Hi Rudders, buy a box that we are talking about and plug it into the plug in your picture
