Sprint Booster or Remus Responder???
I was a finalist in the last BavAuto photo contest (vote for me in the most current one coming up, I have 4 photos of my 330i in Monaco Blue -Noah) and have had a $100 dollar gift card burning a hole in my pocket for a couple months now. I wanted a BMS powerbox but because I live in CA nobody will ship them here. Anyways, I've decided to settle for a drive-by-wire lag solution. The Sprint Booster is listed at $289.95 (so $190 for me) and the Remus Responder is listed at $249.95 (so $150 for me). Does anyone have a preference on which is better, or does it not really matter and should I just go for the cheeper Remus system?

Since you are looking for throttle response I would contact the companies and see if they can send you a "tune" only for that without engine performance. Thus could be similar to the price range of the other products, minus the $100 benefit, but likely an improvement you will feel more than out of the piggie-back approach.

All the PBX does is alter the throttle and fake the O2 sensor signal. The 330i will actually lose power - it doesnt need more fuel. And as far as the pedal, you could just put your foot down further... Thats all it does.
Its a waste of money. |

I mean the dyno charts for the 330i have shown some pretty decent gains for what it is and I've heard a lot of good reviews about the product, that's why I ordered. If I don't like it it's easy to go back to stock.

Where? How is it you think it gains power? I just told you, the 330i isn't going to gain anything from a richer AFR (quite the opposite). It can't alter vanos, ignition, throttle, valvetronic or disa ouputs. It has no load input (only RPM and TPS). Its 100% snake oil.

You can do that with a stock tune by clearing adaptations after a bad tank of gas..
When i added fuel on the dyno over the stock fuel map, power went *down*. |

I had a gift card, and I ordered it. I'm going to try it out. I'm not trying to fight about it.

I had a SB on my old MINI and I loved it. It got shit on in forums as well, but I guess the placebo effect worked, because a snappier throttle does make the car FEEL faster.

Exactly. I'm going for feel, I realize the 330's N52 is already tuned within an inch of its life.
