Need Advice:N55 help!
hey guys so I've been searching the site and I'm not really getting the answers i need i have 2011 n55 335i and it was just in the dealership i was have the reduce power light come on overtime i took the car over 4k Rpm. the told me i had the following fault code being shown
Fault 2C57 :epdw valve for turbo Fault 2E4C :solenoid for exhause flap All in all they wanted about 1,500 bucks seemed a little steep to me so just wanted to get some advice here the turbo valve i get that needs to be replaced but should i just buy an aftermarket exhaust or fix the stock that i have. and what should i really be paying for all this |

I dont know about the turbo code, but are you sure your exhaust flap solenoid is even plugged in? People usually unplug it to mimic a golf tee mod. When you open your trunk, theres a flap inside by the left taillight, pop it open and see if the connector is connected or if its just hanging there.

2C57 is an underboost code. You probably have a boost leak. It may also be the wastegate solenoid. If you look doesn by the turbo there is a vacuum line Nd electrical connector attached to a box right above the turbo. But check your charge pipe for cracks first.

2E4C ignore. You don't have an exhaust leak it's just the actuator in the muffler. Serves no purpose.
As for the the 2C57 check the chargepipe, something may have a crack. but if it's not that then possibly this: PRESSURE CONVERTER 11747626351 http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=11_4472

I'm having a similar problem. Codes 2c56 and 2c58
Have a boost solenoid (pressure converter) and new silicone vacuum lines arriving today. I'd do the vacuum lines if I was you at the same time for piece of mind. |

Might also want to consider the HPFP as it is known to cause various codes, I'm just saying because I believe that's what I'm going through at the moment.
I was unable to detect any boost leaks even though I got codes for them and even a code indicating a problem with low boost.

If anyone is still interested car has been fixed for about a week now ! Yes glorious magical boost is back to full power and strong as ever. All problems were solved by replacing boost solenoid and a slightly cracked charge pipe and disconnected the exhaust flap. Thank you guys for all the insight and support
