EBay lights on a car that came with xenon's?

Is it possible to use eBay lights on a 335i that came with adaptive xenon's. Long story short I've had nothing but issues with these adaptive headlights, and I'd like to just throw in a set of those eBay projectors. Is that even possible? Most sites say only works with non adaptive cars. Is the connector different? I have no problem coding out the adaptive lights and having fixed projectors, but if the harness doesn't work then I might just try to save my current OEM lights rather than splice crap together

No splicing, they were plug and play on my 06 330i w/ adaptive xenons. You'll get the adaptive headlight error but that can be coded out of the VO.

Yes, the low beams are projectors. They come with halogen bulbs but you can do HID or LED. I have LED bulbs in mine.
If you look in this forum you'll find a couple of threads with good info and pictures about the rolling gears headlights. This is one of them:

If you look at the last few pages of that post you'll see my pictures. I can't upload them here at the moment. I can't compare directly to HIDs since I haven't had them. They are probably comparable in light output in these projectors but I would say the HID probably throw light a little farther.

Any ebay lights seem like a downgrade from adaptive xenons... maybe not appearance wise, but definitely quality and function wise

That makes sense. The cost to repair them is likely more than a new pair from ebay.

Well, I believe they just need a new adaptive control module, but that's halfway to the cost of eBay lights, and if they need coding, that's more money.. Someone who can code BMWs could just fix the issue and have a perfect pair of lights, so I'll probably just sell them off a bit discounted
