Was into 1986, was somewhere into the middle of 20, got my first VW Scrirocco, was underway onto the Autobahn and was entering a motorway working zone. I was awaring the speed limit of 80km/h but as I noticed it, I was round about 150km/h fast... ***FLASH***
Ends up into 320,- German Mark that time and 30 days foot walking

Hmmm, 1997 I was 18 and driving my fathers Cadillac as my e28 was getting the timing belt done. I was going 49 in a 30 zone as I had no idea, damn Caddy was so plush. IIRC no points and the fine was reduced.

'77. Was skipping high school with a girl I was dating. We were in her father's Ford Torino heading down to Cape Cod. I was passing an El Camino on Rte 3 south (two-lane highway) when he started to speed up, so I sped up as well. Just as we were about to crest a rise in the road, he slowed down. I laughed and went flying over the rise. Then I saw a state trooper on an overpass that had been hidden by the rise. I figured no big deal since he was up there and couldn't chase me. But just down the road were a bunch of troopers and one of them stepped out into the road and waved me over. That was how my young-dumb-ignorant ass learned about radar.
70 in a 55. If I remember right, it cost me $50, which was about a week's pay for me then.

This is like going to a shrink for free.
The first ticket I got, I was 17. Driving my father's VAN About a mile from the house, heading to the beach. Econline 350 can get out of its own way! Chirped the tires at the light accidentally (ALLEGEDLY) and got pulled over by a freaking game warden, who proceeded to write me a ticket for exhibition of speed. That was my first trip to traffic school. . . |

I think it was 1984 or 1985 (age 16 or 17). Downtown Providence RI where cars would meet late night when road was empty and race around a traffic circle. I was driving a 1978 Chrysler Córdoba that I thought was fast. The things I remember most about the ticket were (a) the cop writing "(peeling out)" on the ticket and (b) being relieved they didn't search the car. My dad find out a few months later when renewing insurance.

15. Stopped by Officer Kirk for cornering too fast in my dads USS Chrysler Newport. The vehicle was rolling up to the door handles in a beautiful 4 wheel drift when he stepped in the middle of the street, put his hand up and pulled me over. Ticket and traffic school.
I saw him about 5 or 6 years ago and reminded him about the stop and he started laughing because he remembered it clearly. Cool guy, 30 years on the force.

So here it is. I was driving my dads Datsun 200sx. Didn't have a license yet. Was 16.5 years old.
Stopped at a toll booth but didn't have any money. The attendant said pull over, go inside and fill out a form. So I just kept driving. Came to 2nd toll booth and did the same thing, but this time there was a cop in the median. He pulls out and I thought, "shit I'm 2miles from the border of next state, let's go!" Cop pulls up next to me and points to shoulder. Then he grabbed his hat and pointed at it and motioned to shoulder. I just kept on trucking. So he pulls in front of me and starts slowing down. There wasn't enough clearance to pull out and I bumped his car 3-4 times. Finally on the shoulder and he comes out of his car gun drawn. Walks up to door and yells for me to get out. As soon as the door was open he had his gun in my face. We went to the station and I was put in a cell. Few hours later my parents picked me up. Charges: Fleeing and alluding Speed in excess of 85 in a 55 Driving without a license Reckless driving And of course- failing to pay a toll I went to court and they dropped the fines because I was locked up in a rehabilitation clinic with no ability to earn any money. The largest point infraction was applied to the whole case(6pt), actual total was around 30pts. Got my license a year later. 1984 was a pretty crazy year. |

does getting caught sneaking your parents car out of the garage at 3am count? - then it would be: 14yo, auto theft (dropped), 1979, and shamefully in a '76 Dart.
First real ticket was at 17 in my 240z for speeding, politeness got me a break and they only wrote me for 20 over, and didn't write me for the equipment violations. |

2000 VW Jetta, 17, Speeding 84 in a 45. I was on a straight highway in the country at around 10pm, probably not another person for 5 miles in all directions.
A couple of weeks later the same cop wrote me one for improper passing. Passed on the dotted yellow but the line had gone to double yellow on the way back over. I was furious. |
