335i turbo same a bugatti Veyron
So stopped by Porsche, test drove a GT3 RS dont ask how. anyways i spoke with the Tech there and he hinted me that my 335i has the same Mitsubishi turbos that are in the Bugatti. Even though the Bugatti has 4 of them, he said they are the same size and all.
Also interesting, our turbos are made in the Netherlands Not sure how much of it is true but this is what i was told. |

IF you read deeply on the Bugatti, you will realise most of the power came from the aerodynamics of the body. At higher speeds, the body will tilt itself at a certain angle to give more power to battle the resistance of air.

Uh..that makes no sense...the car is more powerful because of its aerodynamics?

the car might not be "more powerful" but can achieve higher speeds more efficiently and quickly. ever tried riding a bike on a windy day? man that sucks. |

I dont think they are the same turbos. Considering that Bugatti and VW are in the same family, and VW and Audi are also in the same family, and the old rs6 had a 4.2L V8 TT, then I am almost positive that the Bugatti has two of those engines, with some modifications obviously.
Also, aerodynamics does play a key to the Bugatti's speed, but it doesnt make it more powerful. It just simply doesnt displace as much air as a regular car, and the lower it is, the less air it will disturb. |

All about aerodynamics, absolutely nothing to do with 1000 hp.... Anyway, very hard to believe they would put midget turbos in when trying to peak hp. No offense intended for the vertically challanged.

LOL, what? Its not one or the other (power, aero.). To reach the speeds that the Veyron gets to, you need both, meaning that they work in conjunction. Both are equally important. One huge flaw that I see with this car is that it is heavy and large in size. It weighs roughly 2 tons, and IDK if any of you have seen it in person, but it is a large car. If they made the car much lighter, it wouldnt need such a large engine to reach the performance of the current car.

1000 hp is 1000 hp.
The horsepower itself has nothing to do with aerodynamics. The top speed however is highly governed by both factors + a few others.
