Attention Sony Xperia Owners
I think that's the proper place to rant about my new phone . It's flagship model SONY XPERIA XZ .I bought it not because for being so called flagship but also I liked it's design clues and almost perfect photography . I was thinking of Samsung but battery related problems put me off it
Well, the matter is I updated Goggle Apps and as soon as I installed them the phone failed to open . It said Xperia Home stopped working . After a couple of Yahoo browsing I found that almost every Sony Xperia models suffered from these software issues . However, it was first ever on my phone as that I have been using Sony since Xperia models were released new . OK, thanks to Sony Tech Talk Forum I learnt that I had to repair software using Xperia Companion Program . I plugged it in (not only do I plug in hybrid cars but also phone quite often ) followed the instructions and it worked without problems . Today , a new program release notification bar popped up the screen . I downloaded it assuming this new Android software would be good for the phone but it turned out to be not . Same old frigging Xperia Home stopped working popped up again . It said that's enough . While I am writing this message , the phone is being repaired by Xperia Companion program . I don't know what to do next , no more software upgrade including Android's funny names or using it as is . I can switch to other Android phones but none of them is cutting it for me as Sony Xperia XZ is Why don't they properly test everything before releasing something

It has become very common for manufacturers to use paying customers as beta testers. They would rather have an product in the market than spend that time making the product right. Additionally they have a much larger test sample. I have been burned a couple times myself. 1 time I received a product that actually said BETA on it. Was not happy about that.

i am using both the S7 Edge (personal) and the XZ (work)
i have not had any of the problems you mentioned above though. the other Sony that i have used before is the Z2 also didn't have the software issue. is it possibly just a bad unit? having used both phones, i would still stick to the S7 Edge just because of the longer battery life. the other problem i notice on the XZ is how fast it overheats with the S820 chipset hope you get the issue sorted out soon or might as well return it and get another LG V20? Pixel?

Update :
It's working fine since last update . Thanks for your replies .I also considered of LG V20 but may be being accustomed to being a Sony Owner I elected to go for the Xperia XZ . In terms of pixel and photography I think Sony must be better than LG

I own the Z5 and be absolutely pleased with it. No need to upgrad to the newest one. But quite interesting that this needs first some patches to get work...
