235 Michelin PSS for fronts?

Okay to give some background, I recently purchased 255 Michelin PSS for the rears and I ran into some issues. First, I had to reduce my spacer from an 18mm spacer to 15mm because of significant rubbing. Then I had the rear fenders roller slightly to reduce the last little bit of rubbing on bumps. This is on a stock rear M Sport suspension for a '11 335i coupe, stock 18" 193 rims

I will need to switch up the front tires soon and I'm thinking of moving from a 225 to a 235, however I'm wondering if the same issues are going to come up. I have a 12 mm spacer currently with M lower control arms (otherwise stock M Sport suspension up front).

Can anyone provide some insight into this? Thanks.

Youre just using too large a spacer. If youre using style 189, you want no spacer front with 235, 12mm rear with 255. Simple. Pss run large.

No spacer with 18x8 et34? I thought the coupes had the same front clearance as the sedans. I run 18x8.5 et23 with a 255 and don't rub at all.

Coupes and sedans are totally different front. Coupes and convertibles are the same.

18x8 et34 with a 235 tire would be the same outward amount as a 225 et 29. 5mm more than stock. If you want max outward I have 245 et 30 now and rub slightly. Those are 14 mm out more than stock. A 10mm max up front then with 235 tires but if you go 15mm you may have a lil rub on bumps like I do. My fronts were 235 et 30 and fit perfectly, so only stuck out 4mm more than oem wheels with 235s. I had et35 with 275 no rub, perfect fit. Those stuck out 12mm more than stock. A 15mm would rub. Pss are larger than stock. You were 3mm out more than mine were which is why you were rubbing and needed to roll or adjust camber.

A few mm, 5 or less won't be noticeable so if you don't need absolute max to fit a huge tire dont push it. 5mm is less than a quarter of an inch.

Mine are maxed out for traction. I have now 245/35-19 front on 19x8.5 et30 wheels. Rear are 305/30-19 on 19x11 et43 wheels. I'm lowered, stock camber, with rear fenders rolled and stretched. I do rub on sudden dips at speed or max cornering but I wanted traction for acceleration so its acceptable and I corner way more Gs than stock before I rub.

Sorry, I'm not too knowledgeable with the ET measurements. But what I understand is that you are saying if I get a 235 mm Michelin PSS and use no spacer, I will be about 5 mm wider than stock setup. If I get a 235 mm Michelin PSS and use a 10 mm spacer, I might rub a little bit.

Is this correct?

Et means how many mm extra inward is the tire than exact center of the wheel. Et 12 is 1/2" in. Et 24 1" and so on. A 235 is 10 mm wider than a 225. Split this it'll go 5mm in and 5mm out more on the same wheel. A PSS is typically a few mm wider still so figure 7mm in 7mm out more than stock or 3/8" . Add a 10mm sacer it'll be 17mm or 3/4" more out about than stock. My 235 pss were on wheels that were 4 mm out more than stock plus the 7mm more for the tire so 11mm total. You'll be 1/4" more than my old setup. My new setup is 16mm out more and rubs occasionally. That would be like you using a 9mm spacer.

Current front setup
