e90 335 LCI Injector Question

09 335xi lci sedan

long story short, i believe i have a bad injector ( Misfire Cylinder 2 )

what im wondering is am i able to replace only 1 injector? My injectors are currently index 9. i have access to another few injectors that are also index 9.

i have read that you cant, and you have to replace all 6
but i have also read you can just replace 1 ( although its not recommended )

also read that the o-ring seals on injectors are self expanding when hitting oxygen.
where and how would i buy these oring seals if im reusing injectors? they would come sealed in something?

any confirmation? thanks in advance

Index 10 or below you can replace just one. Be sure and code the new one with INPA.

im guessing if i replace 123 with index 12 and keep 456 with index 9 it shouldnt be a problem either? as long as the bank is the same index?

You are correct. Index 11 or higher new injectors requires you to replace the entire bank according to BMW. So you would need to replace injectors 1-2-3 OR 4-5-6 at a time.

When you replace a seal on an injector, you install a pressure fit sleeve that compresses the seal. Once you remove the sleeve, you have just a few minutes to get it installed before it expands again.

Oxygen has nothing to do with it.
