A Good Oxford BMW Specialist - Mark Purcell

Pretty new to BMW's having previously owned a number of Audi's and was looking for a good specialist around Oxford. I try and avoid using main dealers having had a few bad experiences using Oxford Audi. Not sure what Oxford BMW are like but prefer to use a specialist.

Any way, came across Mark Purcell and based on a few other good reviews I found on other forums took my car there for some minor works. I needed the glow plug controller on my 330D LCI replacing. They managed to replace the controller without taking the manifold off (what BMW recommend) so saved a few hours labour.

Very friendly, knowledgable, good price, dropped me in town to save getting the bus. Would recommend

Couldn't find a webpage but address etc on link below. Based a 7 minute drive out of Oxford/Headington in Stanton St John.

No worries, it was £103.76 for the glow plug module, needs to be an OEM part. Labour was £55, total bill was £190.51 in VAT.

Hope that helps

That's not a bad price. How does the car feel now, any improvements?

Yea, it had a horrible idle until up to temperature when first starting. Seems to run smoother in general now fixed too. Time for a remap......
