Painted diffuser how return to original abs plastic grey

Any ideas guys? The performance gloss black diffuser ive got looks a bit too stand out against my sgm. Wanna get rid of the gloss black. Original plastic look grey is what i want....?

You'll never be able to return to the original plastic look unless you buy a new one.

You can try wrapping it in a matte dark grey vinyl

You can try using a 1000 grit sanding sponge to make it matte black instead? It's probably the cheapest way to approach your situation, unless you want to retain the option of selling a glossy diffuser.

A few options
1) respray with matte clear
2) chemical strip
3) media blast
4) scuff and spray desired color
5) use sanding paste(used to prep raw plastic) and grey scotchbrite pad to knock down gloss
6) sell it and get a new one

If you just spray it with primer, it'll give a flat black finish.
Just had it resprayed on my performance diffuser.
