Michelin AS3/s: Z-rated or not?

I just purchased 4 Continental DWS06's and I'm pretty dissatisfied with the tire. I was anticipating more of a sporty feeling, at least comparable to my old AS3's, but found the ride to be numb and quite a bit more roll in turns. So much so that I double-checked to make sure I had purchased 06's and not just regular ole DWS's. At any rate, I'm returning them (to Walmart) and I'm purchasing AS3's again. My question now is, should I go with Z-rated? Is there any benefit to justify the cost difference ($20/tire) to go with Z-rated? I don't do any track or racing (just a 328i) but I do enjoy and prefer feeling the road with little sidewall flex.

Good question, as I think they're available in multiple speed ratings (Y, Z, etc.). Hopefully our TireRack rep will be able to expand on that a bit.

Also, look into the A/S 3 Plus as that has replaced the regular A/S 3 model.

I looked for the 3 Plus but wasn't able to find them on Walmart.com. I'm sticking to Walmart now since they're who I'm returning my tires to.

Looking forward to hearing from the rep.
