Boston parking permit and tint
It's about that time where I have to replace my parking permit sticker.
When I got my car, the windows were already tinted and I decided to just stick on the permit. Now that its expiring, I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for removing the old permit without damaging the tint. I think multiple old permits looks tacky (and is apparently not legal, but also not enforced) I know my old permit was hard to remove from bare glass, and I was using a scraper. I'd rather not cut out a square where the old one was, and I'm not looking to re-tint the rear. Any Boston locals have experience and/or suggestions? |

Well in general a heat gun and plastic razor blades work well for removing stickers. You could also try warm soapy water as the sticker should disintegrate. But I have no 1st hand experience w/ that sticker.
Or you could light your car on fire to get rid of it.

oh man don't put those shitty stickers on your tint! Freaking boston uses the strongest glue on those things too, way worse than inspection stickers. I made that mistake once on an old car and fucked up my rear defrosters, after that I never stuck them again, just taped them lol
blow dryer and googoo gone will work but be careful not to peel the tint...it will be tough...worst case leave it and just tape the new one above it...they don't care if you have old ones there, as long as you have the new one as well |
