Good, Cheap Radar Detector Mirror Mount?

Can anyone point me in the direction of a good, cheap radar detector mirror mount for the Escort Passport Max?

I ordered this one and unfortunately it ended up not being compatible. https://radarmount.com/collections/m...oducts/3001002

I obviously know about BlendMount, but $130 for a mount just seems crazy to me. No? That's half the price I paid for the Escort Passport Max...

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

You're right, it is crazy but damned if the thing is not rock solid and low profile both of which matter most to me so I splurged. Never had a single issue with it. Also looked around and frankly could not find anything as good for a much lower price. Best of luck!

This is unbelievable to me. Seems like "BlendMount" needs some market competition. Might look into manufacturing my own... could be a nice little biz. I'm sure I could produce something of similar quality for at least half the price.

After all, the mount is not that complex at all..? I just don't see where the $130 price point comes from. I'll give it a few days and if no one can't recommend a reasonably priced mount I'm going to look into making my own.

I could even 3D print the damn thing. It's not like you even look at the mount much when it's got a sick RD hanging from it.

I just got the Max 360 and very happy with the suction magnetic mount that it came with.

Don't get my wrong the provided suction cup is great. But I don't like how it hinders my view, not to mention mounting anything directly onto the windshield is illegal here in New Jersey.

Chesticals (interesting name lol), do you have any pictures where you mounted it? I'm interested in your setup as I'm hardwiring as well. Thanks for the input guys

Hardwire it up high behind a stint strip and no one will see it but you:

Good point about the suction cup being big. It hasn't bothered me. Have always had detectors mounted directly on the windshield for years. Haven't had any issues.

I see you are in Morristown. I am in Rockaway.

I prefer the V1 (hardwired) mounted up high on the sun visor behind my windshield tint strip and out of sight along with the V1 concealed unit on my dash where other drivers can't see it and use me as their radar detector... I also use Waze as a backup

Or you can just send out your rear view mirror and have it installed inside the mirror itself http://www.radar-mirror.com/V1_Example.html
