Vessel: DYVI PAMPLONA ETA CHARLESTON,SC APRIL 24
Through some of the very resourceful people on these forums a few of us have figured out that our cars are on the Pamplona, a ship and line not used very often.
Here is a picture: http://www.dyvi.no/index.php?Cat_Id=...Id=6&Art_Id=34 Lets use this thread for tracking updates of the ship. So far it looks like it is just outside of the english channel. |

I know someone who has an M6 on this boat.
And by know, I mean I saw it on my SA's screen today while I was ordering. Lucky bastard!

I think I too, may be on this boat due to some simple facts:
Here's what the 1-800 BMW number said about my car, by date: 3/27: "In production, estimated completion 4/1" 3/28: "In body shop, estimated completion 3/31" 3/29: "In paint shop, estimated completion 3/31" 4/1: "Vehicle production complete, waiting to be release to carrier" 4/3: "Released to carrier, awaiting transport to port of exit" 4/5: "At port, awaiting a shipping vessel" 4/11 or 4/12: "In transit" In addition to the above, my car will be delivered at the Spartanburg, SC BMW performance center - which means it must be dropped off at Charleston, SC. I take it this ship is definitely going there. In addition, when I put my VIN into the WWL website "auto cargo" tracking tool, that shipping company has no record of my car. Therefore, if my car got on a ship around 4/11 or 4/12, it isn't on a WWL ship, and it's getting dropped off in Charleston, SC- it MUST be on the DYVI PAMPLONA, correct? So if it arrives in at Charleston on April 24th that's only about a 12-13 day journey, correct? Pretty fast. Hopefully someone will be able to find out where this ship is in it's progress. Anyone else think my car should be on this ship? (according to my "in transit" date and destination of SC, along with nothing confirmatory on the WWL site?) |

Call your SA guys. They can see what boat your on in less than a minute. I watched my SA looking up someone else's, who, coincidentally, is the guy I said is on this boat with the M6.

It looks like this ship doesnt participate in the vollentary mid-ocean tracking and thus we will not be able to track it now that it is out in the Atlantic. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Booo. I was freaking out because we would've made it in the same time Tagus made it in and for me, its a closer port than NY. Oh well, I am going out of town anyways so I guess it still works out.

After careful scrutiny of the page I put up, I think we have a problem. If you look at the discharge/load of the Pamplona, you will see that it is not discharging anything. Where are our cars? Did it sneak into port and unload in the wee hours of the morning? I even checked dictionary.com incase there was some freak shipping lingo I don't know about that would cause this confusion and hysteria for me. Did anyone catch the d/l of the Pamplona yesterday?
cliffs: Pamplona is not dropping anything off on the 24. Our cars were stolen off of the boat during the trip across the atlantic or were dropped off early this morning. |

The Pamplona may have been hijacked and is heading to Cuba where Raul said he will be using BMWs for official state cars....just kidding, hope your vehicles arrive soon.

--Edit-- I don't know the process or rules and regulations for cargo, but if they were really 3 days early, maybe they indeed had the man power to unload and load cargo to allow them that be that early in the first place. |

It is unlikely that it already docked. It looks like they just had some bad information for a while. I looked in the history section, and there is no record of our ship docking on the 21st. Looks like they were just playing with us.

Looks like Pap is next on the list for the Union Pier Terminal, hopefully it will get its ass in gear and get in there a day or two early.

I just called them...
I too am waiting impatiently for the Pamplona to arrive. So I called them. They confirmed that it is to arrive on the 24th - with vehicles on it, no less. And... Discharge status is a description used if they are scheduled to leave with anything on it. Load is an adjective not a verb. What is the current load of the vessel.
And so I wait... and wait... I don't think I can take much more. |
