Questions about Installing/Reprogramming used FRMFA
So the FRM needs to be replaced on my '06 E90 (so surprising), and I have acquired what I assume to be a known good FRM. I have never had to install and reprogram a used module without having something like an Autologic at my disposal (which I don't now), so all of this is sort of new to me.
Once I've installed the module, do I need to use WinKFP to update the VIN, or will the VIN update when I write the FA/VO pulled from the CAS? And am I correct in how I've cobbled these steps together? 1. NCSExpert 2. Expert Mode 3. F1 (VIN/ZCS/FA) 4. F3 (ZCS/FA f .ECU) 5. Choose E89 6. Select CAS 7. F6 (BACK) 8. F4 (Process ECU) 9. Select FRMFA 10. F2->Choose "FA_WRITE" 11. F3->Codes FRM according to the VO. Sorry, I know there are other posts about this, but most of them are pretty vague or involve people telling the OP to PM them, and the rest of them are just little bits and pieces scattered around everywhere. I appreciate your help and input in advance! -Vio |
