Brake Pads 328i
I've been looking for new brake pads for my e92 328i and will likely go with one of the following (in no particular order):
1. Ferodo DS2500 (only fronts) 2. Hawk HPS 5.0 3. Porterfield RS-4 It looks like (could be wrong) the DS2500 only has front pads for my car. Would there be any harm in mixing with say OEM rear pads? Out of these pads which one would you guys recommend for daily driving? I've heard good things about the DS2500 but just worried about not having the same rear pads. |

I prefer to match pads. That way you are on a even playing field as far as initial bite. You wouldn't want your rear brakes having more initial bite then your front, although this could be an exaggerated scenario, that's the mentality behind keeping the same material front to back.
Unless there is something specific you want from the pads, it's hard to recommend either of the 3, although the hawk 5.0 have been very popular. |
