Dis V57, INPA
Very confused on the process, im at the point where i have to install the drivers for my cable on the inpa virtual server, the location it tells me to install the drivers from is invalid on the list like i cant click it to hit ok and next to install. Everything else seems to be "working." Is there a very detailed guide? Im trying to use the one that came with the download and it has me stuck, tried on multiple computers. Stuck at different points on each.
I really want to just be able to run Dis, and inpa for testing/coding purposes with my car to read codes, and possibly increase the idle rpm, which i read its possible. Just the fact of getting the programs working is my issue. Any help is very much appreciated! |

If you purchased a D-Kan USB cable and are running Windows 7 and above, no drivers should be needed.
Just make sure that you are connected to the internet when you plug the cable in the first time. Windows will download drivers from Microsoft automatically. I did not have to install drivers for either Windows 7 or Windows 10. If you previously plugged in the cable, go into the device manager and "uninstall" the device, then "scan for hardware changes". Remember to set the COMM port number after the device drivers are installed. Note: If you have an existing device that is missing drivers, with a yellow or red mark in the device manager, that may upset the automatic driver installation. Once the HOST drivers are installed, fire up VirtualBox and edit the settings for the VM. Under USB you should now see the cable available and can add it to the VM. |

Forget DIS57 its old and slow.(get istad/p)
There are many guides here I like Wildcatcrazys(for Inpa) as it seems simpler has more English but I haven't been looking around lately are you using a PC or Mac? You need to get specific about what you have an where you are stuck. You only need to go VM if you have a Mac Last edited by ctuna; 01-19-2017 at 02:15 PM.. |
