well yeah I know that, and was planning on a fix for that... I was wondering more along the actual device... ignoring the power issue, is there any reason why this won't work?

i'm sure it would work, but i'd be concerned about what may happen if it lost connection while driving. Or if there was a second of interference, etc. Kaboom??? Doesn't sound worth the risk to me....

Bluetooth connection is too slow for datalogging in this specific case. Technically it works ( had already a setup with different hardware ). IMO not worth the efforts and the money.

That one will run off the 12 VDC power, just cut the cable and wire it up. I was just unable to get it to talk to the PROcede though. However, I may need to swap pins 2 and 3 and that may complete i. It has been months since I played with it and not sure if I will as my current solution works just fine.
