P3 vent gauge possible group buy

**EDIT**

Pricing is as follows:

The Multi-Gauge which plugs into the OBD2 port is $520 for both E82 and E9X models from 2008 on
335i's with the N54 engine requires an analog boost sensor for boost readings which is $45.

Pre installed vent gauges are only available for E82's at this stage and they are an extra $130.

Delivery has also been discounted down to $10 to your door.

Minimum order is between 3 and 7 units. If we reach around 10 units then the price will drop further.

Normal retail is $580 for the gauge so its a saving of minimum $60

I am in the process of organising a group buy for a few 1 series gauges but can add some 3 series gauges in if anyone here is interested. Let me know so I can give them a number and they can work out a price.
More info can be found here:

Anyone running a P3 vent gauge? What are your thoughts?

No problem with the P3 on my pre lci 335. You might be thinking of the Adwon gauges turtle

awron isn't compatible with JB4. JB4s should all be going in the bin soon anyway

Don't think p3 is compatible with jb4 either. Alot of the features won't be available with p3 cos jb4 is hijacking the data. Although you could use the analog tube to measure boost. But then what's the point of p3 without being able to use all the features?

Here's is my P3 fitted
Everything works perfectly (im running MHD flash not JB4 though)
I use it mainly as a digital speedo, boost gauge, check water temp etc etc
Took about an hour to install
Air vent still works and open and closes fine, if you route the ribbon wires flat inside the vent
Plugs and unplugs from the port easily when I want to flash or log the car
Just sharing

OBD2 will only work with 08+ models.

Anything before that you have to op for the cheaper boost only option as the OBD2 port on earlier models don't have the CAN H and L pins.

I am still waiting on a reply for a definite 5 units. Obviously if there are more than 5 people willing to go ahead then I am sure the price will be even lower.

Okay guys I have just heard back from the supplier and here is what they are offering:

The Multi-Gauge which plugs into the OBD2 port is $520 for both E82 and E9X models from 2008 on

Let me know if you're keen so I can get the ball rolling.

Cheers,
Alf

Dont bother paying for preinstalled gauge... is an easy job to take the vent apart and fit the screen.
Takes about 30 mins if you are slow like me

I put together a DIY for you guys on how the fit the screen into the vent and install the P3.. Just in case you need it

That's a pretty in depth DIY, much better then the stuff P3 gives you haha.

I don't think the gauges are available pre-installed at the moment anyway for E9X's but you are right, its not worth buying it already installed.
