An interesting article for oil changes
This was a good article on oil change periodicity. My father-in-law has been a mechanic at McCune Chrysler here in SD for over 20 years and says pretty much the same thing. The article is seemingly unbiased. I know discussions go back and forth about when to change oil. Me personally (and with my father-in-law recommendation) will do every 7500 miles. Which means, I pay for one and then BMW pays for the next...I can deal with that.

So, BMW has had its service indicator in use since 1982, with extended oil intervals beyond 7,500 miles. Nice for GM and Ford to start and catch up 25 yeas later. The article was clearly discussing non-synthetic oil.
