Theres plently of people that can put rhymes together at 17... Theres a 15 or 17 yr old girl thats out that flows like that. Just look at how much tupac did since he got out of jail in just a year and half he made 2 movies, and recorded so many tracks. All of his albums were hits. Except the ones where his mom tweaked and killed the records. How many present day rappers do you see want to be mixed into biggie tracks???? NONE How many mixed themselves into tracks with Pac? more than just a few. If Pac didnt die, you wouldnt see people like Jayz, busta rhymes or 50 cent. Pac was the first to do everything from raps with real meanings, to real life stuff. He was the first rapper to be in a movie, first to drop a double cd album. First to make an album in a single week and have it go 5x platinum. All the rappers out now just rap about hoes, blasting people and money. Nothing else. Tupac made records for everyone, he didnt just make one type of songs. I could go on... but ill leave that for another day |

+1. no hate to tupac but i find it hilarious when rappers think being the president is an easy job.

I think the tone of their message is supposed to reflect their dislike and disrespect for the president.

Not Pac bashing, but c'mon...we're talking 'rapper' here. Not mogul or acting. R-A-P-P-E-R...
Why Tupac lost me: Signed with a label steeped in gang violence, even though he was dating Quincy Jonse's daughter Kidada. if he wanted to get out of jail+a deal, he could have easily done it. He wanted REVENGE, and so he signed with people who would let him do so. and to put out crap like "hit em' up." 'Dis" records are a corner stone of rap yes, but young brothers were getting killed all over the country over the East vs West beef. Completely irresponsible. (BTW, BIG never retaliated...that's class). Also, he was jealous of BIG and thought he was too fat and ugly to be a player..."I gave him his game...(etc)." BIG was dope before he even met Tupac. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4rKnMp9U-Lg> and if you think plenty of 15 yr olds can rap like that then SfValley335i, sign them. |

He made hit em up after he was shot in NY awhile biggie and his whole crew was there and they wouldnt tell Pac who had shot him. Pace felt biggie set him up there... and yes biggie did "retaliate"... heres the first one that came to mind. Yes biggie was a good rapper no doubt about that. But Tupac was the best and still is the best. When biggie died no one really cared... they drove him through NY and that was it. After pac died 7 years later you still hear people talking about his music and thinking he was alive etc. Tupac was pretty much the Elvis of rap. Biggie was good but tupac was better. Tupac gave biggie his "game" because tupac told him to rap for the girls not the guys if he wanted to make money. |

With all due respect to both of them, the B.I.G. comments so far probably have a lot to do with the lack of people posting on the east coast. We don't hear the same music over here on a daily basis that you guys do. The B.I.G. influence we see every day is much more apparent than any pac influence. Did someone really talk about people mixing with tupac tracks over big's... do the names jay-z, nas, and puff (hahah don't laugh) mean anything to you?
Pac was better than big, no doubt. But big's storytelling and flow is unmatched.
