Just north of Gaithersburg you can find Damascus Auto. They work on all makes/models but have some specialization in BMW. I've lived in the area for 16 years and they do ALL my non warranty work on all my cars.
They're competent, reliable and HONEST. I can't tell you how much money they've saved me over the years with honest troubleshooting and advice. Ask for Pete or Tom and they'll definitely take good care of you. If you do visit, don't miss out on some of the best fried chicken and coleslaw around at The Red Rooster across the street. 👍🏻 Alan |

RRT out near Dulles airport in Northern Virginia. Maybe a bit more of a drive from Gaithersburg, but they do top notch work. Their prices are pretty fair too. They specialize in BMWs and you will see lots of M3s, M5s and other //M cars in front of their shop.

Can also throw GT Peace into the mix. It's in Chantilly, VA so it'd be a bit of a drive but they're former bimmer and mini techs and know their stuff. Priced reasonably and are mod friendly for sure.

Question about GT Peace and RRT; do they specialize in performance mods? Was wondering if they'd be able to diagnose any problems I had with my car running JB4 and catless dps.

GT Peace my personal preferred/fav shop. Also would do custom tune/flash your car. I've seen them put in multiple mods on peoples cars, including mine. Pick one and you cant go wrong. Only thing is RRT is a little pricier

Go see Kevin at Aktiv Automotive in Gaithersburg. 301 869-3200. Expert, cheap and fast . Very knowledgable with tunes, etc. Knows Frank at TechTuning so he is plugged in with other experts. Best I've come across.
