Oil Change Cost?

So, I just got back from the BMW dealership after having my oil changed in my E91 328i and I cannot believe how much it just cost. After doing a few searches I figured it would run around $100 but to my surprise I was hit with a nearly $140 bill. Is this typical? I'll be planning on changing my own oil from now on that's for sure.

Mann oil filter + Pennzoil Platinum syn oil from Advance ~$50 for 7 quarts.

once you qualify for value service from the dealer, it gets cheaper...think I was paying $80

just be lucky you don't have an M and have to pay $150 to do it yourself

... that's okay she makes up for it in other ways

Yup! I prefer Shell Rotella T6 personally.

These cars are so damn quick to do an oil change on. I spend more time waiting for it to drain than working on the car.

That place sux B@lls, its the worst, my dealer is cheaper than their pricing. The fat guy was there when I went, cheap B@stard, clueless as $hit. Never going there again.

That explains why he is getting all positive reviews here. Please don't steer people there for personal agendas. Place is very bad!!

Guy is clueless....he doesn't know even the basic difference between N54 and 55, enough said.

I'm not gonna sit here and argue what he knows and what he doesn't. I dunno how much he knows about BMWs. I know I am and others are happy with that shop.

Before you come here and attack me about me pushing personal agendas check before you speak. I've only told people to go maybe twice the whole time I've been on this forum. The original op asked about prices. I was going there and replied with a price. If anyone recommends others to go there that was there own personal experience. I don't steer people because there could because of people thinking I do it cos I know them personally.

Ok, don't want to hijack the thread but please mention that it's your relative when you say you had good experience at that place so that people can understand.

I am not too picky but this place is not getting a penny from me again 0/5.
