Somethings broken & Rattling for about a year now

I cant figure out where its from - Under the car it seems to be in the catalyst converter - Front of the car it seems to be somewhere in the FMIC area, I'm at a loss I cant figure out what the hell it is .. and its been there for a year and didnt get sucked in so it tells me its something outside intake track (Turbo cold side --> FMIC --> CP --> TB --> Inlet) ... Question is what could it be that its stuck and doesnt get out the exhaust ... hopefully not a bolt in the timing chain area (did happen to someone on here)

Any misfires? Codes? Did you check that your DP's are still properly connected? It could be the flap inside your exhaust. Its known to rattle on start up. Sounds like when you put a penny in a coke.can and shake.

Is it rattling when you hit bumps? All the time? On start-up only? Low speeds, high speeds?

nothing can be heard inside the cabin - Its from the front near serpentine belt area or the bottom - no change in performance hitting 21 psi everyday

Instead of everyone guessing and being no help, just put the car in the air and get under it so you can narrow it down and diagnose. Then report back and we'll all tell you we knew it all along.

No one really guessing.......you might want re-read the responses before making silly assumptions. In addition to his issue, op was asked "questions" to further assist, and get closer to the root of the problem. I am sure he'll take the car in if he cant find out the problem, but he came here first looking for a solution.

Ah come on, lighten up Francis. Take a guess as to why nobody is guessing. Step back and think about just how many things it could possibly be rattling around and realize we have absolutely no idea what it could be with what he's given us. Could it be a loose socket someone dropped, or a petrified tree limb, or a wastegate, or a corpsified squirrel, or a suspension bushing being worn, or a busted shock, or a (insert guess here)? Sure! Or it could be one of a million other things in the engine compartment, or potentially elsewhere if OP is schizo, deaf, senile, etc (no offense being I'm two of those three).

We're not omniscient, we don't hear it, and we certainly can't give him any good idea with a nondescript "something is broken and rattling" without being there beside him.

OP, please get under the car and figure it out before something falls off and you die. After a year I suppose chances are decent that you won't die, but just in case, check it out and get back to us. Unless you're already dead. Then haunt LOVE4THEEE92COUPE for not being able to take a joke.

Oh, and if you really think it's the cat, then bang on it a bit (not too hard in case the substrate isn't already busted up) and see if you can reproduce the sound. Chances are blowing 21 PSI through it along with all your other mods, could've shortened its lifespan and destroyed it. But again, climb up in there and really take a good listen, maybe with a long screwdriver up to your ear, because you're bound to do better than we could sitting in our living rooms. I recommend a set of ramps if you don't already have some. Easy enough to drive up, unbolt the tray, and give a good listen with the car running.

Thanks. I didn't intend to offend or hurt feelings, but I did come over the top on my posts a bit. Sadly though, I think OP is kaput. Well, we tried.

Do you have a e90 or e92? If e92 check the bolts on the chassis brace, maybe one is loose.
