Help! e92 LCI mtech front bumper
So I had my e92 LCI front bumper painted today but my guy couldn't install it. He tried but the bumper won't fit/clip by where the bumper and fender meets. it looks like the bumper is kind of short. im not sure if any modifications needs to be made or something. Does anyone had the same problem before?
thank you |

Not to insult intelligence or anything like that but are you 100% its an LCI bumper and not PRE-LCI bumper?
could have gotten the wrong one shipped or something like that

i got it from this forum and the seller said it is for an LCI model. I can tell by the headlight washer cover location and the shape of the headlights. hopefully this is something that is doable.

I am going thru the same thing as you. Mine is a e92 328i xdrive LCI also. I only have the bare M sport front bumper meaning it didn't come with the lower grilles or fog lights. Bought it off craigslist. I test fitted it today to see if I would need to change other pieces for it to fit. It didn't fit. The bottom engine cover shield and brake ducts were in the way so the bumper won't fit on properly. I might have to change the inner front fender liners too. Maybe that is why yours wont fit also?

That is probably why, i feel like the lower part of the bumper needs to be pushed in so that the bumper will meet with the fenders. i will be taking it to a shop tomorrow and have them do it since i do not have any experience on this. |

Just out of curiosity, is the front bumper you have a genuine oem m sport or a replica m tech? I've been researching this to death for the past few days. This is so confusing lol.

the under cover is on the way, there is a cover that you can buy for an m sport or just cut it. |

Ya I read that whole thread lol. Looks like you have the replica version but still have the same problem as me where the bottom of the bumper doesn't even come close to fitting. I'm gonna try test fitting mine again but with the brake ducts removed to see if that might be the reason why the bottom won't push inwards. Gotta make it work somehow, can't stand the non m sport lci front bumper. Looks like a dam cat fish lol.

Brake ducts depend on your options. You might have to change or trim a duct. Thats probably the reason the sides dont line up.
Fender lines should line up or u can drill holes and relocate the clips easy job. |
