External Wastegate N54

Why has no one tried to solve our issues with wastegates by welding them up and using BMWs signal to fire an external wastegate?

Im new to the N54 game, but this would seem to me to be a great solution if it could be implemented. Would bring a much higher reliability to the platform.

With BoostBox out, that could be a possibility.

Interested in hearing theories on best wastegate placement though as it relates to stock frame snails.

Real estate is very scarce in our engine bays. The only way to make room for and have proper placement of an external wastegate is to go single turbo.

Even with a single turbo fitting 2 wastegates in there is an interesting affair.
