Injector issues E90

Hi guys, could use some advise..Have a 2009 BMW 355XI. Dealer says I need all 6 injectors replaced for $2,577.85. Say can't just replace the bad injectors because the new ones wouldn't be compatible? Does this make sense?

I'm not an expert, but Real OEM doesn't show a new version:

Older injectors are not comparable with new injectors. Replace them yourself for 140 an injector

Should be able to replace in banks of three. Recoding is required.

Double check that you're not covered by the extended warranty, http://www.bmw-rp.com/

Beyond part numbers there are index numbers. Also, if you click on the part number on realoem, you'll see the current part has only been around since late 2012.

I just had my car in the shop for a misfire. It was the #6 injector. They replaced only that injector.

With that said I don't know if they were all original or if they had been changed in the past. I've only had the car for 4-5 months and its an 08...

Index 11 and 12 have to be changed in banks according to BMW. 10 and under don't require that procedure. You can change all 6 yourself for less than $700 total if you shop around for index 12s. Or a bank of 3 for less than $350.
