I disagree. The new GT2 RS is going to beat this in very short time.

I'd like to know if this was a production model or some stripped out version that won't even be the real thing that people buy. And also tires. No independent person was allowed to inspect the car which tells me there is something not so legit about the time. Very big Lamborghini fan too.

Insane! Like TXSTYLE said I'm glad this car has no forced induction or hybrid tech. Showing the sellouts at Ferrari how it's done WITHOUT any help from forced induction.

On a side note I wonder if the folks at the Viper club are still going to take their cars to the Nurburgring to set a record. I'm sure the car will lap the ring in under 7 minutes and maybe get close to the 918 but there's no beating 7:52. It'll hold its own in the corners but won't get anywhere near 186mph on the straight.

I feel like this record is going to stick around for a while much like the Gen4 ACR's record which was incredible at the time.

And it will also be a real production car which is verified via independent observers, not some car they won't let anyone see (because it's not a production vehicle). Something about this lap does not add up at all. Open to being wrong but until someone can verify the dots just don't connect.
