Last Option - NAV w/iDrive or NOT?
I have read most of the NAV posts and those that have the NAV w/iDrive seem to be pleased with their decision to order it.
My last option I am considering is NAV w/iDrive. I am leaning more towards a YES, on adding it. I figured I would ask you all one more time to convince me to order it. Here is my 330i order so far: * SGM * Premium Package * Terra w/Burl * Comfort Access ------------------------------------------------------------------- * Navigation w/iDrive ????? (Last Option Undecided) Thanks! -Mike- |

a definite yes! as clumsy and infamous as iDrive may be, it still offers a lot more than it lacks. just the convenience of accessing your car's data, making calls, navigating and seeing it all on a nice large display is making it worthy those couple thousand dollars.

If you are comfortable with gadgets...
Please do it. You will not regret it. And it proves valuable when u drive around an unknown place/city + dash looks beautiful with a curve in it (my opinion). And if its not too much for you... Try to add Xenon & Heated Seats (since you are in North-East). It will make your car more valuable & comfortable. |

Posters would say that Nav/iDrive (over the obvious Navi function) eases customization of features and display of relevant information, so if you are considering it, I'd say go for it...

I would definitely get it if you can afford to add it. I would have liked to have it on my car, but the one they had on the lot didn't have it.

Get it, you won't regret.... I had the same dilemma.... and that was back before Sept. 05 before mp3 capability was confirmed.

I agree - if you can afford it - get it!
I have it and love it. Also all the added voice control functions are cool. Especially if you use a stacker - since there is no easy way to change between cds. With voice control included - just say 'CD3 Track 5' and you are there! Reading this thread (and others) is interesting. Different countries seem to have different inclusions in models. In Australia, chrome is included with 325 as standard. Plus bluetooth is included with all models. It is interesting that different countries have different 'packages'. Anyway - enjoy iDrive when you get it. I mean the grass may seem greener with other systems, but iDrive is like a mouse - easy to use and not cluttered with buttons like audi/merc/lexus..... Ivory
