I think thats just a marketing slogan.
I think any transmission oil should be changed between 40,000 to 60,000 miles. |

Change at 60k. Auto tranny:
drain tranny replace pan\filter replace fluid Edit. There is a little rubber sleeve there called a mechatronic sleeve. It can fail.. So since you already dropped the pan you might as well repalce it too. It is a $18 part. |

Entschuldigen, bitte!
1:24 "Oil contains quite a lot of water" That statement is fabricated. All water is removed from Crude using de-emulsifying agents during processing. As water is a polar molecule and crude is non polar they cannot be dissolved. |

I've just bought ZF fluid, new pan/filter and mech. Sleeve and plan to do this in the next couple of weeks, if anyone is keen to join up and do them together?
Now that MHD has trans. Temp I figure I can use that to get the close to correct fill temp. Is there any reason why that would not work? I got pan from clickable, zf fluid from ebay and mech sleeve from FCP. Seemed to be the best prices I could find. I'm at 120,000 so think I'm well and truly due... |

Awesome. Not that it isn't smooth now but there is the odd occasion where it gets caught out.
I will run it for a few days before resetting adaptations just so I can feel the difference from oil change alone. Has anyone looked in to xHP? Might be worth investigating when I have changed the oil. Would you guys think an oil sample analysis is worthwhile on the trans? |

Are Motul fluids such as brake fluid, ATF a more superior product than BMW ones? |

Found the oil pan on clickable at $140 (For 6HP19Z only)
Realoem.com says GA6HP19Z but the actual photo of the stamp taken by Coupes33 says 6HP21? http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...t=335i+gearbox You may also consider changing the Automatic Transmission Sealing Sleeve? https://clickableautomotive.com.au/b...347588725.html Also did a quick search and found 2 DIY for the ATF: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...t=335i+gearbox http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=777083 |

Is this the only mechatronic sleeve required though?

OTS maps for N54/N55 will not be available for at least another month. I'm working on my own TCU tune. I only got to do one revision because I had to send my diff away for warranty work but even with the initial revision, the shifts were way better.
