New Square Setup Curiosity

Hi all,

I've got an 08 335i Sedan with the Sport package on the original staggered 162s. My tires are beat, and i recently killed a runflat with a pothole so i fear that one of my rims may be bent too.

I figure now is a good chance to go for some aftermarket wheels. My budget is low, looking at around the 1k mark for wheels and tires.

I have found the ASA GT5 on TireRack that look pretty decent.

My question is about fitment because these wheels are only available in the one size:

Is it possible to run square 18x9 et30 w/ 245/40/R18 tires without rubbing? (I dont want to have to increase camber for fit).

Alternatively I can do Axis Sport XM wheels 18x8 et35 w/ 235/40/r18 but it ends up being a bit pricier (not to mention a couble pounds heavier per wheel) and probably wont look and handle as good.

On my 2011 335is I ran BBS-CH 18x8.5 ET35 square with 235/40R18 P-Zero tires and a 15mm H&R Spacer in the back ... perfect!

Sorry for the small photo ... this website still thinks it is still 1997 when you cannot upload photos bigger than a thumb print!!!!!

I tried pretty hard, looked at many threads, they're a little vague. For example, the difference between lci and pre-lci have not been explicitly stated. Not to mention sedan vs coupe vs the random m3 post in the wrong forum.

Often when seeing wide setups that work, theres no mention of the camber plates that are used to acquire the proper fit, and they're often different rim sizes or strange widths so the offsets don't apply.

I was just looking for confirmation that 245/40/18 on 18x9 et30 will fit without adjustment.

It looks like you have 255 square setup, can i ask what your wheel specs are?

255/35/18 18x8.5 et23. no rubbing on stock camber. didn't rub with et38 either, 265 front is next.
