Complete Zaino after the winter

Hi,

I'm planning to do a full detail with Zaino in the end of next week and I need some advice. I'm not going to remove swirls by polishing, because I'm no pro yet... Did my last full detail in the beginning of the fall. My car has suffer because of the harsh weather this winter...

My questions:

I washed my car with a touchless system during the winter. Do I need to start with DAWN to strip everything of the car or can I start with Z-7?

I have a small drop of tree sap on the hood, can Z-PC take care of it? The other option is to use Autoglym Intense Tar Remover (www.autoglym.com). They claim that it removes most things stuck to the paint.

I'm also planning to remove some ugly stickers that BMW and the dealer had glued on to my car (one on the window, the other one the trunk). Everyone is taking about using Goo-gone?, but this is probably not available in Finland. Any suggestions for removing the glue, Z-PC?, Autoglym?

Detail plan:

Z-7 (or possibly dawn)
Z-18 clay + diluted Z-7 as lube
Autoglym Intense Tar Remover
Z-7
Z-PC (to remove some small scratches)
Z-5 + ZFX
Z-6
Z-5 + ZFX
Z-6
Z-5 + ZFX
Z-6

Z-12 (for windows)
Z-16 (for tires)

Hope I can get some advice! I'll post pics of the result afterwards.

Hello fellow finn!

1. Stickers - i got mine off simply by starting from one of the corners and it came nicely off. But my car was 2 days old when i took it off. I believe that your situation is more complex. Just warm the sticker with hair dryer and then try to take it off if this doesn't work just warm it and rub autoglyms tar remover on it and it will come nicely off in small pieces. I have used tar remover myself and it's pretty good. it removes the glue residues and so on.

2. When your applying new detail like zaino you should strip off old layers of wax and make your paint as clean as possible. Fairy original in Finland is quite good at this. just give it a few wash with it and let it sit for few mins. I would suggest also claying your car for maximum results.

3. Where did you find zaino products in Finland? maybe overpriced for the money?

There's a guy who sells Zaino in Espoo. www.carwaxzaino.fi You can order through the Internet or just call him and pick it up. I just bought some new products from him yesterday. Zaino is expensive, but he still has resonable prices...
