Hey bud,

Can help you tonight or tomorrow if you're still keen?

I only have a smalle r battery charger, but if you're battery is half decent, a 20 min drive pre flash plus the charger will be fine.

You guys are welcome to use mine anytime. I work in Leederville most days and it just stays in my car.

I went through one dud before I got the current one.

Thanks Craig,

I'll be coming to you if this new cable fails me.

Just curious, are the K+Dcan cables the same for LCI and Pre LCI?

ALL E9x's use the D-CAN (500 kb/s) protocol.

D-CAN (BN2000) was the successor to K-line and introduced in 03/2007. So there is some overlap for the D-CAN protocol adoption, but ALL E9x's use D-CAN.

As you have found, cables are not all the same.
A lot of robust discussion has happened regarding this topic. Some argue white vs green PCB, different chipsets, Pin7 bridge and colour of the sheath!

To any further readers:

Without venturing into ICOM (Next) territory and endeavouring to obtain a proven cable across many platforms with firmware improval and not cost prohibitive I would suggest supporting BimmerGeeks.

Now that is impressive.
