Transfer case leak?

Had my transfer case fluid replaced about 10,000 miles ago.

Did a routine check underneath the car. Noticed on the mounting bracket has some type of liquid covering it. Wet to the touch. Very faint brown color and does not feel like any type of oil.

The Transfer case looks clean, as does the fill plug, and the actuator motor.

Any ideas? Condensation from exhaust? Will my car throw a code if the transfer case fluid is low?

thanks for any help!

Ok, I removed the heat shield to see further up behind the transfer case. Looks like the leak is coming from where the rear driveshaft connects to the tranfer case.

Anyone attempt this repair? or how much did it cost to fix?

hey - I have a similar oil leak but my actuator is wet. it looks like where the rear driveshaft meets the transfer case is dry. Could it be the o-ring where the motor meets the transfer case? I'm going to remove the support this weekend to get a better look.
