Help ease my mind if you can

So basically I was fixing my vacuum lines the other night, and Bolt 10 in the linked diagram got stripped mid-thread. I couldn't get it out, and I couldn't put it back in. So the car is at the shop now, and the BMW guy is coming in tomorrow morning to take care of extracting that bolt, replacing the last 3 or 4 vacuum lines, and putting everything back together. Any idea what something like this would cost? I'm a little worried that if they can't extract the bolt, it'll require some intense work to fish the bolt out from inside the exhaust(read: it'll be several thousand dollars). What are y'alls thoughts on this? I like to tell myself that it's just a bolt extraction and life is good, but I'm really not sure. This is uncharted territory for me. |

Update: Got the car back. 3 hours of labor total, 2 to remove the bolt and replace the threads, and 1 to finish up the vacuum lines and put my car back together. $330 and I'm ready to go. Also, looks like my window switch is shot and that's why they won't do the one touch up feature. Gonna get a call back on that, but I'll likely do it myself, I bleieve it's just a plug and play harness.

On a side note, most large parking lots have security cameras. Might be worth a shot asking walmart security, before much time passes and you can recall the date and approx. time. |

People not properly dealing with the carts at Walmart frustrates me. I typically will gather 2 or 3 up that aren't far from where i park and roll them to the "holding pin". When I come back, there are generally more close to my car. I don't think someone's door did that to you, kydiesel35. The marker light would have gotten crunched. I could be wrong. Either way whether cart or car door, very inconsiderate actions go on in the WM parking lots.
I generally take the 14 yr old truck there for above reasons. |

One of my pet peevs.....people too lazy to put their cart in the cart rack. They can walk all over Walmart for an hour or more and then all of a sudden are to lazy to walk a few extra feet to put the cart away? I've found that you are better off parking near a cart rack because your less likely to have a cart near your car there. One of the many reasons I try and stay away from Walmart as much as I can.

Banjo bolt, easiest of all bolts to get out, since it is already hollow. Any good shop should be able to get it out, may need a new bung welded in depending on how messy it comes out.
If I was charging for that it would be anywhere from $75 -$250 (best/worst cases) |
