New headlights.

Well today i just finished my first mod on my e90 (well second if u count tints a mod) i got these headlight from ebay and to my surprise they are great quality. i have had them in fro 2 days now so lets see how well they last. But all in all I'm very happy with them. Its replaced my stock non halo ring halogen units and it gives my 06 325i a more mean modern look. I want to have the angel eyes on as drl but for some reason i can't turn that option on as the menu on the cluster is not there on mine, so i dont know wats up with that (but i did order the carly OBD2 adapter so i can code that in). I just thought i would share with everyone. let me know what you guys think and if any one is interested in the headlights i can include a link to them. Just let me know. Feel free to let me know about any other mods i should do to the car or any suggestions. Anyways thats it for now.

Looking good, I've got the same headlights.

I think you have an FRM1 (like me) so you won't be able to code in angel eyes only as driving lights. The only way for us to have angel eyes only as driving lights is using a harness or upgrading to FRM2/3. The harness is going to be the cheaper option at around $40.

This is the harness I used and have had no isuses. Your angel eyes will be on all the time regardless of your light knob setting. For example, off would have angel eyes on. Automatic will also have angel eyes on all the time.

What the harness does is power the angel eyes all the time, expect for when you turn the headlights on, it then cuts the power it supplies and the angel eyes use power from the headlights like normal.

As for other mods, black kidney grills always look good. I chose glossy over matte but both look good. And maybe think about a dash cam if you don't have one already.

so without that harness or the FRM2/3 i can code in the angel eye to stay on? so basically the carly adapter u got is useless . i mean isn't there a way to code the parking light to stay on. i mean as u know since u have the same light, the rings come on with the orange parkers. I'm new to all this coding stuff so i don't know if there is any possible way to code just the parkers to be on. maybe someone else on here might know ur maybe u .

So our options for FRM1 are:
- Keep headlights on all the time
- Turn to knob to parking lights to keep angel eyes and sidemarkers (turn signals) on
- Code/Enable in iDrive Daytime Running Lights (DRL) which turns on the sidemarkers, angel eyes, and dimmed low beam headlights

The only way to have just the angel eyes on is using the harness or upgrading FRM.

The Carly adapter isn't useless. There are other coding options, the ability to read/clear faults (something a regular obd reader cannot do), register/code fhe battery. So it's a very useful tool to have.

f i get the harness is it hard to install? does it cause any errors. i saw the pictures on their website on how to install it but some part are little confusing for me. i don't want to get it and then end up messing something up.

i dont mind having the angel eyes and side markers on at the same time. (if thats what you where saying with the three pointers)

It's pretty easy to install.
So to get the angel eyes and sidemarkers on you'd have to turn to knob to the parking lamp setting. The DRL setting in iDrive and Carly will turn on your sidemarkers, angel eyes, and dimmed low beams

If you've got some questions we've got a couple threads in the cosmetics forum about these headlights with pictures and info.

This is the link to where I got mine. I've seen others go for about $379 to $400 I got mine for 294.88. The seller does change the prices frequently but not buy much, it can be at 297.88 and then go down to 294.88 just gotta catch it at the right time. As for any error codes I do get then some times here and there (code number 88, something to do with my "Dipped Beam Left Failure") but it does go away after a few seconds. But other then that works like a charm. Couldn't be any happier. As for the pictures I'll try and take some tomorrow as today is a crappy day out side.

As for the Bulbs i have 6000K LED form Amazon ill include the link if ur interested. i like them because then come with 3 pairs of glass tubes that change the temperature of the light, one is clear for the 6000K white look (already on the LED housing, Next is the 3000k gives u the yellow look, and 8000k gives u the bluish white look.i like them but will be changing them to HID's very soon.

Any other question feel free to ask.

Those look really good, I was thinking of doing the same during the summer. Would love to see more pictures too. Also be careful man you forgot to blank out your plates on some of the pics.

These look great.
I think wheel spacers are a must (if not changing the wheels) and are a cheap mod.
One thing that is very unsightly on a BMW is unnecessary wheel gap

Your new headlights look cool. Congratulations on successful purchase. I also drive on BMW and really love my car. I always try to upgrade it . Recently I also bought new headlights on https://www.uzooka.com/bmw-headlights/ . Luckily it wasn't so expensive as I supposed and I'm very pleased with the choice.
