Oh Great Locked Out

2005 E90, after some advice as to open my car, which I have my key left in the boot. Spare key has gone missing too, so that option is out.
Help!

For my friend's 1 Series, they've quoted him £165. That was early last year. I assume it'll be the same for E9x

How did the car lock with key in boot?

Unless you only opened the boot (and not any of the doors) and the car automatically locked itself after 30secs(??)

You open the boot with the key without opening rest of car. Put key in boot and close boot. Ball ache. I did it 3 times on my X5. RAC or AA will sort this out. They have an air pump that they stick between the door and frame expand it and put a stick in and try to press the unlock door button. It took some time but they get me in every time

I once was in a similar situation. Kind of. I was locked in the boot and the key was on the porch. Don't ask... Of course the solution was much simpler, just had to bang on the boot until my friend came out and unlocked the boot

Aren't all cars required to have an emergency release cable in the boot?

My friend had bent the lock mechanism on the boot and it wasn't lining up with the latch. An easy fix but my friend is not the sharpest tool in the box when it comes to car diy. So I offered to mend it for him
