[HOW TO] Change the volume of the turn signal in cluster

Hi Guys,

I have found a way to change the volume of the turn signal in the cluster on my E92 LCI (maybe possible for E60 and others) .

For me it is a Kombi High with data stand KMBI_PL2.C08.

There are two ways to change the volume, one with the FSW_PSW.TRC, because there are already two values (an original one and a slightly lower one), and the NETTODAT.TRC for setting the volume individually.

I used NCS dummy!

FSW_PSW

1. Open FSW_PSW.TRC from KOMBI/cluster

2. Change the value at "AKUSTIK_V_Y_C08" from value_01 to value_02

3. code the KOMBI/cluster

NETTODAT

1. Open the NETTODAT.TRC from the KOMBI/cluster

2. Add new parameters to "AKUSTIK_V_Y_C08" via "add custom data"

- if you now compare the data between value_01 (hex: B0, FF, FF, FF = dec: 176,255,255,255) and value_02 (hex: 48,50,6C, CE = dez: 72,80,108,206) the first number in the second value is lower, so the volume gets lower.

(Decimal: x, +8, +28, +98), the volume can be reduced or even muted completely by changing the first number and the remaining three ones by the formula.

(E.g. I have halved value_02, decimal dez: 36,44,72,170 = hex: 24,2C, 48, AA.

3. Now change from value_01 to the new created value: <custom>

4. use NETTODAT.MAN for coding, in NCS use core function / Kernfunktion coapiCodeSgByNettoData and in the next window in the lower field type NETTODAT.MAN or the file path (eg F:\NCSEXPER\WORK\NETTODAT.MAN) if the file is not in the WORK folder and confirm.

PS: If you want it completely muted, simply choose the values dez: 01,09,37,135 = hex: 01,09,25,87

Whether it works with the Kombi Low or E60 etc., I do not know, but I would be pleased about feedback.

I'm german and used google to translate my text

Greeting Chris

Works on an E71 X6M! I'll check data stand of the cluster/Kombi later.

Edit: KMBI_E70.C02
