Key fob window control lost
So my factory battery was on its last legs , not having owned a BMW very long me and a mate went and bought a Bosch battery with the same specs etc and fitted . For some reason there was a recurring though in my head that there was more to this job and my idrive kept showing the same fault low charge . So after fitting the battery i planned to take the car out that night late and smash it round the motor way and charge it up. Thank god i didn't because 5 mins before leaving that thought in my head decided i should Google this and it turns out not only did i have an AMG battery but it needs coding as I have a sensor on my battery , and that i could well have blown the thing up taking the wrong battery out for a charge .
So in the end i got my local indie to fit an OEM battery and recode and all is fine , however i have lost the functionality of holding my key fob button down to ooen/close windows , i have a Carly app and adapter and it shows all the option required as active already but i cant get it to work. Any suggestions ? |

I think the remote feature only works if the 'one touch' up/down is working. If you've changed the battery you probably need to reset the windows. If the one touch isn't working, press the window open switch and hold for a few seconds after the window is fully open then press close and hold for a few seconds after it's fully closed. Check the one touch is working then try your remote again.
